7yThanks for the feedback and, particularly, for your comments expressing that the team at BuiltWorlds is great. We are proud of our team. We’re also glad you appreciated getting to try a lot of new things and that you learned a lot. One of the benefits of working at BuiltWorlds is that we have been committed to allowing people early in their careers the opportunity to take on responsibility and try things they might not otherwise have gotten the opportunity to do, elsewhere. However, we also have needed to recognize when things aren’t working, and we understand that this shift has been difficult, at times.
In a business which truly is trying to innovate a new model, it can at times be difficult to have members of the team working from home. That said, we do regularly allow people to work from home. We just aren’t in a place where that can be the norm for everyone.
As for the success of the business, we trust the entire team with the financials of the company every Monday. Although we do require that the information be kept confidential within the team, we can say publicly that we do not believe they reflect a company in financial trouble, and your statement that the company is kept afloat by the personal bank account of the founder is not factually accurate.
All of this said, we deeply regret that you left with such a negative feeling about your experience. It is certainly not what we strive for, and we will learn what we can from your comments and redouble our efforts to build a strong company with a positive culture that all can be proud of.
