      Pros

      The culture at Butternut is genuinely collaborative, and everyone in the squad is really committed to the goal of delivering health & happiness to dogs all over the world. This is the friendliest bunch of people I have ever worked with and the care we have for one another amongst the team is really special. Butternut Box offer great development and career progression opportunities. There are different incentives to help your personal & professional growth such as an annual Learning & Development budget and Butternut's own in-house leadership training. There are plenty of great employee benefits including discounted Butternut food for your pet, hybrid working, health & dental plans and much more. And of course, lots of office dogs to cuddle!

      Cons

      Day-to-day life at Butternut can be fast-paced and sometimes quite demanding as we strive to meet the ambitious goals we set for ourselves. This I have found, on occasion, to impact my work-life balance in a negative way. However, management have listened to feedback and implemented measures such as additional annual 'Paws Day' leave for employees each year so we have extra time to unwind.

      The culture at Butternut Box and Marro is really good - there is a great team spirit, and the business loves to celebrate wins, which makes for a highly positive and rewarding working environment. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is deeply woven into the company, with a strong focus on driving awareness across all teams. Additionally, the business actively encourages continuous learning and career development. Depending on your role, they also offer a great hybrid model with a mix of in office and wfh days, allowing for excellent flexibility.

      Cons

      The work-life balance fluctuates significantly depending on the time of year and specific project deadlines in my particular department. Additionally, it is a fast-paced working environment which may not suit some people.

      It’s a truly mission-driven company, with genuine love for dogs and cats and a strong focus on customers. There is a lot of respect and care within the company, as we genuinely live by our values. There is real ambition and drive to deliver the best possible product all over the world.
