Pros

I genuinely enjoy working at CData. It is a fast-paced company and there is always a lot going on, but what makes it stand out is the support and camaraderie across the team. People are willing to jump in, help each other, and work together, which makes the pace feel manageable and rewarding. One thing I really appreciate is how hands-on and accessible leadership is. The C-suite is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, get involved, and support the team directly. That is not something you see everywhere, and it makes employees feel seen, valued, and empowered. I also appreciate the remote-first environment and the work-life balance. There is trust in employees to own their work, manage their time, and still have flexibility. The company cares about recognizing and rewarding people, and I do feel like employees are given opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways

Cons

Because the company is growing and moving quickly, priorities can shift and the pace can be high at times. It is probably best suited for people who are comfortable with change, ownership, and a little ambiguity.

Pros

As others have noted: remote, decent benefits.

Cons

Where to start. This company is in a death spiral culturally, and is not growing along any meaningful metrics. The company has fired everyone that actually had value or speaks up and is pushing AI like it is some saving grace, which for an engineering focused company is just shameful. After almost 2 years of AI slop, our products are now mid at best when they used to stand out. My guess is the brand is basically worthless within the year. As others have said this used to be a good company but I don't think it will ever come back. It's all self inflicted and for no reason as well which makes it incredibly frustrating. Get yours, get out of this dumpster fire.
