Typical English School? - English Teacher CECI (Japan) Employee Review

Honestly nothing good to say about the place.

Unpaid overtime, undocumented hours, over crowding, terrible lesson structure, high turnover rate, underpaid, no breaks (even though it's stated in the contract that you have breaks), power harassment, the list goes on and on.

Literally nothing positive to say about this company.

This company is a very black company. The owners are very shady. They don't care about their employees or students. They force employees to work during your 1 hour lunch break, forced vacation days when they want you to take them, unpaid overtime, threaten employees who speak up and much more illegal business practices. They deducted my health insurance from my check without paying half which they are supposed to be doing by law. The Japanese staff is underpaid and just complicit and scared to speak up about it all. I wouldn't even recommend this place as a last resort.
