Pros

Aren't a lot of pros. If you could count it as a "pro," there is at least no accountability for your actions here, which they will market as "flexibility," but take that with many grains of salt. For example, if a team member doesn't respond or misses a meeting (or many meetings), no one says anything about it. They like to describe the culture as "family-like." You will have the ability to work on a variety of projects, so there is alot of opportunity to learn but....

Cons

This place truly sucks. To start, the salary is below market, especially the support staff and analysts, and they gaslight you into thinking that you're doing "meaningful" work because you get to sit in the same room with a bloated next-gen business owner who just wants to stay rich/hoard wealth. They advertise that they support your growth and development, but the "skills" here is non-transferrable, and there aren't any development opportunities besides being brought along to networking events. They currently are relying off of the connections from the founders, who are retired, or (if you're a certain founder) just sticking around to wreck havoc on the firm. They greatly resist change, and love to spout that they are doing "meaningful work" and look down on other firms, when they often blow clients' budgets due to poor project management and the highfalutin attitudes of the principals and managers. The metrics for evaluating you is purely "vibes", and they will truly make off-handed comments that are offensive at best, and racist/sexist/transphobic/borderline sexual harrasment at worst. Because there is no HR department, there are no consequences for this behavior at the firm. They value loyalty over anything else.
