Pros

Company pays industry average wages

Cons

In my 30 plus years as a Silicon Valley sales executive, my opinion is CIQ is by far the worst run company I have ever worked for. Currently, a law suit filed against CEO and his former employees from the company they worked for prior to CIQ with allegations leading to theft of intellectual property and much more. As a shareholder myself, concerned and unsure if CIQ actually has completed final development of their primary product called “fuzzball” which has been under development for years. This review is my personal opinion of this company, again the worst run company I have ever worked for over 30 years in technology

Pros

If you are an aggressive self starter, CIQ is the place for you. Everyone here is working to make our products the best they can be. We've got a fantastic leadership team that is focused every day on our success.

Cons

Working for a startup is not easy for everyone. You have to be assertive, and sometimes make the decision yourself related to certain activities, and they are not always the right ones. So, if you are not that person, at this time, it may not be the job for you.

Pros

Incredibly smart, mission-driven engineers who genuinely care about open source and community work. Many teammates go above and beyond to support one another despite constant uncertainty. The technical problems can be somewhat interesting, and the work itself can be meaningful when you’re allowed to focus on it.

Cons

Leadership decisions often feel reactive and inconsistent, with unclear priorities and limited transparency. Communication is inconsistent, trust is fragile, and priorities shift without clear reasoning. There’s a wide gap between the values the company promotes and the way people are actually treated. Stability, transparency, and respect for all parties need serious work.
