Pros

Work life balance is a priority. Every one leaves at 5:00pm and no work is required over the weekend.

Cons

Terribly toxic work environment. Colleagues dislike each other and do not want to work collaboratively and management does not value or celebrate its employees. There is no growth and no processes in place.

Pros

Terrific mission with strong regional presence, regional/local actors/church partners. Solutions are based on community needs and programs are multi-dimensional. No wastage, dignified humanitarian aid, sensitive to local, native cultures. Not a bloated bureaucracy, No heavy handed NGO approach at CNEWA. Very effective and able to cover what most big aid agencies miss. Transparent, the best and brightest of the church/FBO's, with great potential to do more. Small and Mighty in the aid world.

Cons

Under the radar, difficult to market and build publicity for in general market. May be wrongly perceived as too niche, sleepy “churchy” organization. Organizational-Vatican structure can be challenging to navigate. No real board management/active board with busy Cardinals and clergy leadership. This can make it insular, and unable to attract a bigger network of opportunities, impede growth, access to innovation and streamlined processes. Lay staff and managers need more autonomy to accelerate growth and maximize efforts. Agile management cultural leadership is needed, ultimate glass ceiling is a tremendous deterrent to talent. Nice and well meaning, but capable of much more. Huge potential and heartfelt mission work.
