Pros

The only positive aspect of working at this company was the brilliant colleagues who took full ownership and proactively ran the business across different functions, despite the founders’ lack of involvement and accountability.

Cons

The founders were the worst part of the company. They refused to take any responsibility for the business, did not take any initiative to improve it, and blamed others for their failures. Founder Colin Chan was disrespectful and unprofessional, constantly smoking in the office and scouting the colleagues. He conducted an internship program as a self-promotion opportunity, taking selfies during the interviews but hiring no one. Larry Yeung, the COO, had no clue about the company’s operations and did not fulfill his duties. The other founders, including the CTO, CMO, and CFO, were absent from the business since onboarding. They made false claims to the public about the company’s achievements, while being passive and indifferent about any actual work.

-friendly colleagues -work life balance - Great vision

Cons

-Late salary every month, either paying on the 7th or LATE - did not meet the promise on contract for providing medical + dental insurance and other benefits (at least I never got it) - Lack of direction from management - Great vision but have absolutely no idea how to run this business - Smoking in the office everyday - CEO yelling and swearing in the office when he is in a bad mood, drive employee anxiety level to the max

Pros

They will track your work hours The boss keeps saying we are a tech company and feels proud of it, while having a mindset of old style work performance metrics, including tracking your work hours, see if you are looking at the computer monitor rather than phone screens, monitoring via CCTV, and of course, absolutely no work-from-home. They ask you to take a photo of your screen once a while via video call during covid period.

Traditional mindset, with weird business tactics
