Pros

Small company, great if you are a sales engineer, useless if you work in a support function, decent small offices based in a nice part of the UK.

Cons

small, poor benefits package, no real opportunities for advancement if you are anybody other than a engineer/sales guy.

Pros

Small teams; You know everyone you work with. Wholly-owned by Shell Oil, employees receive most of the benefits of working for a Big Oil company such as Pension, the Provident Fund and bonuses (even hourly workforce gets annual bonus). While it is difficult to move into Shell, the opportunities are there if you network. Vacation is great for salary positions; 9/80 schedule gives you every other Friday off if you don't have special tasks to complete or meetings with visitors.

Cons

Wholly-owned by Shell Oil, so you get to deal with the bureaucracy of working for Big Oil. Sometimes policies are difficult to implement when there are no other Shell locations around to offer support.
