Some supervisors are micro managers and/or not as knowledgeable as they need to be. Since we’re dealing with offenders the demands from management can feel excessive. A lot of politics Management gives a sense of favoritism when it comes to promotions Staff has overall low morale Offenders can be difficult to handle if you’re not mentally prepared Some management force participation or bully staff into compliance Ineffective resources for offenders
