Really nice, down to earth people in the HP office. An overall comfortable environment to work in. I continue to love this job. What I do and the people I work with.

When you come into an Italian company in general, you just need to be prepared to figure a lot of things out on your own. The training isn't so structured like corporate America. I don't mind this though. You just need to have the correct expectations not to wait for someone to tell you exactly what to do but to go do it on your own and just figure it out. This isn't true on the customer service side though. Just the smaller departments like mine. There are pros and cons to this for sure.

Strong hands-on experience: The position allowed for deep involvement in day-to-day accounting operations, which helped strengthen technical accounting and problem-solving skills. Predictable working hours: Despite the workload, overtime was generally not required, allowing for a stable work-life balance. Clear expectations and close oversight: Management maintained close involvement in daily operations, which ensured tasks were closely reviewed and aligned with company standards.

Limited career advancement opportunities: As a small organization, there was minimal room for upward mobility or role expansion over time. High workload concentration: The position required managing responsibilities equivalent to multiple roles, which could be challenging to sustain long term. Highly detailed management style: Leadership tended to be highly hands-on, which reduced autonomy and flexibility in execution. Intense work environment: The fast-paced and tightly managed setting created a consistently high-pressure atmosphere.
