Recruiters will hype up the "culture" or the "family-like environment". But what really happens when a massive issue arises? Something completely non-work-related. What do you think your employer and coworkers would say if you told them you were involved in a horrific roll-over car accident? That resulted in 15 staples to close your head wound, three fractured ribs, and two fractures in my L2 vertebra. Would they be there for you? Would they replace you once they learned it could be months before you could return? Well, I can tell you what Canopy Connect did. Tolga and the team were there for me on day one of that accident. Tolga sent Jamba Juice and Thia Tea Boba drinks to me while I was in the hospital. He know I loved Boba and every morning stand-up meeting with the team I had a fresh smoothie in my hand. Tolga, Rob, Marc, Sam, and Brandon jumped on a Zoom call with me while I was still in the hospital to try and raise my spirits! I was able to share with them that I could walk again! ( that's right, the doctors did not know if I would even be able to walk again). Four people were there to visit me once I was discharged from the hospital. My best friend, my girlfriend, Tolga CEO, and Rob Head Of Sales. Tolga and Rob both drove over an hour each way to come see me. They were at my doorstep within one hour of being home from the hospital. They greeted me with hugs and teary eyes that I was still here on this plane of existence.
