Pros

- Good starting point, as said by another reviewer. This is the main reason why I would recommend it to a friend. - Many techincal, management and personal growth courses to chose from - Headquarters with very good premises - Good salaries compared to other similar companies

Cons

- Friendship with managers rates more than good performance at work - Most of us work at clients premises, so we cannot take courses during working hours, have to work more hours, etc -Internal regulation to make up for these inconveniences are applied unevenly by management. Also, this regulation is not available to consultants -Evaluations of consultants performance is very difficult when we work at clients premises. Then, career growth is based on friendship or interpersonal convinience, rather than merits -Too many heirarchical steps, which makes the consultant very vulnerable and unheard -although called "atran Innovation", innovation is not really stimulated, but it is used to advertised the company

Pros

- Standard benefits - Depending on the team you're on, can be a relatively easygoing environment - Ample vacation time, generally readily approved

Cons

- Far, FAR below market wage - No yearly raises or even discussion. With inflation, I'm making less now than I did previously. - Zero room for advancement (see below) - You can be a superstar for the client but that translates into no actual benefits pay or promotion wise at Capgemini - they're entirely unrelated. - My manager basically forgot I exist for over a year which means no discussion about performance, promotion, raises, etc - Opaque processes around pay, promotion, etc - Come here if you want your career and paycheck to stagnate and die - Zero appreciation or acknowledgement from the Capgemini team with the client - there's no carrot and stick, just the stick. No real reason to go above and beyond.
