Awful! Don't let the fact that it is a KKR company fool you... - Anonymous employee Capgemini Engineering Employee Review

Pros

Decent benefits Good Holiday schedule Vacation time is comparable Decent bonus structure Differentiation through its design firm (frog design)

Cons

Upper management is severely incompetent. There is constant in-fighting among the executive team. Most are too concerned with making money by bringing the company public, despite the fact that it is not ready. Finger-pointing is the name of the game here. The concept of ACCOUNTABILITY is absent among 80% of the company. Highly political - incompetent employees get promoted if aligned with the 'right' manager. Internal communication is dismal. Morale is very low. Work/life balance is non-existent. Cheap doesn't even begin to describe it. Processes are old and a nightmare to change. Real talent, when hired, tends to burn out quickly. Even KKR makes mistakes, and Aricent is one of them.

Pros

- Standard benefits - Depending on the team you're on, can be a relatively easygoing environment - Ample vacation time, generally readily approved

Cons

- Far, FAR below market wage - No yearly raises or even discussion. With inflation, I'm making less now than I did previously. - Zero room for advancement (see below) - You can be a superstar for the client but that translates into no actual benefits pay or promotion wise at Capgemini - they're entirely unrelated. - My manager basically forgot I exist for over a year which means no discussion about performance, promotion, raises, etc - Opaque processes around pay, promotion, etc - Come here if you want your career and paycheck to stagnate and die - Zero appreciation or acknowledgement from the Capgemini team with the client - there's no carrot and stick, just the stick. No real reason to go above and beyond.
