flexibility as per diem, can pick up at many locations if your home site does not need you, coworkers and providers are super chill. great for someone with no experience as you get to see different things and perform many skills
The clinic staff is supportive and everyone does their best to pitch in. Providers are trained to practice high quality medicine and supervising physicians are a good/accesible resource. The pace of learning on the job due to a varied patient load is great for developing clinical reasoning skills.
Cons
Unsustainable patient volume- esp when they let patients book appointments during time slots that are already booked by others- leading to long weight times, frustration and anger in patients that the provider has to manage. The EHR is sub-par- slow and clunky and can seriously delay every visit. No pay for the hours of extra charting that need to be done after a 10 hour shift (and no breaks during that shift!)
