Pros

- On paper, the compensation structure was good, 50/50 split, uncapped. - Market isn't overly saturated and lots of opportunities to prospect

Cons

22 year old start up in the worst way. Leadership was unorganized and unaligned with company goals and direction for the sales team. Cardata just went through another complete sales team turnover for the second straight year and all of the Enterprise and mid market AE's were canned or quit. Whomever the new manager will be will have a uphill battle on their hands. Pressure from the investment team was detrimental to the decision-making from both the ownership and management team. Constant territory changes, discouraging comp changes and metric hand-holding was exhausting. No one from the team was close to hitting their numbers and the quota was not calculated logically.

Pros

Really fantastic team, both the R&D folks and in other departments. Working on a new platform with a clean code base is amazing, we are building something incredible. It's really just a two-horse race in the vehicle reimbursement space, and we are positioned really well to capture massive market share.

Cons

Even though we are primarily focused on a new platform, we still need to maintain the old product, which is not easy. And as with most companies this size, we're still figuring out processes as we grow.
