Pros

Excellent benefits, great coworkers, a culture of care, awesome mission, a relaxed work atmosphere.

Cons

Big organization and miscommunications happen, especially between the union and middle management. Regardless, I still feel like intentions are good and those miscommunications get sorted out. Not as diverse of an organization as I am hopeful it will one day be, but I know they are working on this.

Pros

Meaningful work with coworkers who care about the mission and clients. Great benefits and lots of PTO. Pay is decent compared to other local non-profits. Recent positive changes to executive leadership. Organization has been growing a lot.

Cons

Organization has grown a lot over the past few years and internal communications and systems haven't caught up to having lots more employees and lines of business. Pace of growth can feel chaotic depending what team you are on. Because the work is mission driven and can be emotionally intense at times folks who don't set reasonable boundaries tend to burn out.

Pros

Note: this review is for Prism Health, which is a division of CAP. Generous PTO, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays Decent colleagues if you're "cool" enough and they find you worthy of speaking to. Protective union comprised of folks who really care! Some remote work available for the lucky ones.

Cons

We've had 3 CEO's since I started - the last one just gave his notice and has only been there for 6 months. They do not give raises based on merit. They only offer a yearly COLA raise, which is a measly 2.5% increase. Big whoop! There's ZERO room for advancement for current hard-working, burnt out employees. If people come in off the street, they'll reward and promote them more than the people who have put their heart and soul into their job. They no longer have a Christmas party, due to their own blunders in spending. They offer NO Christmas bonus and offer no other perks or bonuses for the vast majority of staff. They have ZERO appreciation for hard work and dedication and will suck you dry until they can get what they need out of you. Upper management pretends that they care, but they really only care about the bottom line. Morale is at an all time low. People continue to leave in droves. They have a nice mission statement, in theory, but much of that empathy and respect is not afforded to their dedicated staff who keep things running smoothly.
