Pros
Working here isn't for people who want an "easy" job. It's a job for people who want to do meaningful work, feel engaged and challenged, and be surrounded by a team where everyone shares that same passion. The job offers a higher degree of flexibility and accountability — the perfect environment for self-starters who will lean into the work and find creative solutions if and when hurdles arise.
When you work at Cascade, you serve some of the biggest names in B2B tech. By working in a space that's constantly evolving and innovating, every project is a learning opportunity for a new technology, a new market segment, or the intersection of both. That said, the three most important characteristics to be successful in this job are: a curious mind, a strong work ethic, and great communication.
Some perks employees enjoy:
- Great work/life balance with flex time
- A 100% remote environment
- 18 PTO days + 8 observed holidays
- Tons of learning and development opportunities for career advancement
Cons
Again, it's not an easy job. But it does offer great work/life balance where you get to modify your schedule in a way that best fits your needs.
The only drawback is that, even with all the virtual collaboration (you'll talk to coworkers on a daily basis), you'll wish that you get more in-person time with teammates. We have an annual retreat at various destinations in Oregon (where the company was originally based out of), and we do have certain pockets of Cascadians, like in Portland and Boston, where coworkers get together more often to work in their local coffeeshops, which is a great option for folks who want more (non-virtual) face time with their teammates.
