Pros

Initially felt as though I could make a difference and was working with a dedicated group of people.

Cons

My manager quit the week before I started out of anger that I was actually hired (red flag). Because of this I offered to start a week earlier, and even moved to handling my our clients solo in less than 3 weeks. I was never given any written information on my job duties or expectations (no hand book, procedures documents, etc). I was placed with another associate to shadow, but was repeatedly reprimanded for taking notes and using them to answer questions given to me, as opposed to sitting motionless and watching routine procedures completely in front of me for 5-6 hours/day. I was also made to feel dumb for not being able to remember the complicated and nuance-based work style from sheer memory (this was the 1st 2 weeks). I was subjected to a work environment where I was forced to listen to constant derogatory information about clients, near constant profanity, and even racially charged jokes in reference to older tv shows, etc from the "good old days". When they decided that they were ready to fire me, they had one meeting with me where they pulled program reports that I was not properly trained to complete at mastery. When I showed them handwritten data that I took specifically because I was unsure of exactly how the system worked, I was told that my work did not matter unless it was correctly logged (an expectation that was NEVER communicated to me). I was then fired the following Monday because I "lacked the skills to effectively serve their clients". I felt as though I would be given a chance at this company, and in my opinion, that did not happen at all.

Pros

The team is small which makes each employee's integral role important to the success of the overall company. The atmosphere is professional and collaborative, with an emphasis on teamwork and communication. The founders are very mindful of work-life balance and practice what they preach. Perks include group outings, benefits, anniversaries/birthday celebrations, a plethora of places to walk and explore during lunch, a new office with an amazing view of downtown Atlanta, a dedicated floor in the office building for employees to eat, work, socialize (similar to a WeWork space), as well as a newly renovated gym and multiple conference rooms available to rent.

Cons

The Starbucks in the lobby of the building isn't the best (DD across the street is a much better option).
