We would have hoped that this person would have discussed their concerns with us instead of posting the various Micromanagement posts on Glass Door so that we could have quickly remedied the issues. We do hope that you find the position you are searching for. Not to dispute any of these grievances, there are 25 successful and long-term employees at Catalogs.com (currently 17 in-office and 8 work remotely). Many have been employed here for upwards of 7 years. Catalogs.com has just celebrated its 20th anniversary and staff, revenues, profits and salaries have grown year over year and the company has received numerous accolades as a technology innovator and leader. It is true, however, to be a successful salesperson at this company, you will need to work hard. Some sales people have quickly reached bonuses and others have not reached their goals. And yes, the most successful at this company do work longer than 9-5. Many of our sales people work remotely after completing their training and are in contact with senior management 2 or 3 times per week and do not need any oversight (or micromanagement as you say). We are truly sorry that this position was not the right one for you, however, we do not apologize for giving you guidance and motivation to succeed. All the best in your future endeavors.
