Pros

- Pay was great - Some team members were good - "Value diversity" - An exciting product

Cons

- Although they "value diversity" when it comes to accommodating diverse employees they really dropped the ball. They created a homogenous environment where diverse employees were unheard. - Front line employees were great, but management was awful. - The culture is very hard with no work-life balance. - Review process seemed biased, harsh, and not conducive to growth.

Pros

Check is the best job I've ever had, and it's not close. I remember when I was interviewing and heard people talk about the culture, I rolled my eyes a bit. But it's so clear now that it's a really special group. People are curious, passionate, smart, humble. We work hard, but it's really telling that so many Checkketeers have kids, as there is great work-life balance. The company does a great job being remote but also having in-person opportunities. It all is very non-corporate. I am empowered to solve problems and grow. The company is really hitting its stride right now, both in terms of scale and culture. When things go wrong, the company comes together rather than pulling itself apart. I genuinely look forward to work every day.

Cons

If you're just looking to collect a paycheck and log off, you probably won't love it here. But it's not a grind either, people just genuinely give a sh*t.

Pros

The company is growing its culture thoughtfully and collaboratively. There are several things I particularly enjoy: 1. Andrew, the CEO of the company, genuinely cares about both the employees and the long-term growth of the business. One example that stood out to me was that he took the time to join and recognize tenured employees even while on parental leave. 2. Check places a strong emphasis on transparency in its decision-making process and is not afraid to openly reflect on mistakes and lessons learned. 3. It is a fun and collaborative environment where you feel surrounded by supportive and friendly people.

Cons

Could be better if the employees have better visibility of roadmap and how it's executed on quarterly basis.
