Pros
In my opinion, the best part about working at Chef is the team. It's truly a world-class group of people who are all great at what they do, and a very low ego environment. Everyone is respectful and receptive to hearing each other's ideas regardless of what someone’s role or seniority level is. The team is dedicated to the mission and everyone works hard to ensure the success of the company. This, along with the full-time in-office nature of the job, fosters a sense of collaboration and camaraderie that is hard to find. The company is growing and scaling quickly, with a product that has real-world value and solves problems that haven’t been solved before. It’s exciting to work at a startup that’s at the forefront of AI and has a physical product; people aren’t glued to their desks all day which makes for a fun and lively office environment.
Cons
As is the nature of startups, there are always many competing priorities to juggle. Customers come first at Chef, which means sometimes timelines for internal projects can be delayed.
