Pros
-great schedule, decent enough pay, work jail to road, my shift had 2 great higher ups(out of 4), shift 1&2 were going to have your back when you called for back up quickly
Cons
-way to little training, not all rules are truly observed, told to do one thing then told its wrong, way to overworked due to constantly being below a true full shift:
- get told its a year to go to academy, gets constantly pushed back due to so high turnover and needing people to stay in jail and having to wait in pool, even if you make it to academy have to wait even longer to go to road till a spot opens when there are people who lateral transfer and take those spots. in the end it is a constant trap to keep you in the jail due to high turnover
- shift 3&4 constantly were talked badly about on their practices
