Fast hire, mandatory overtime, quick burnout

-Free health insurance after 30 days. 12.75/hr. Sometimes I have manditory overtime that pays about 19.00/hr but it's not optional when they call. If you're flexibal, it rocks, but you have to go to work on short notice or they fire you sometimes. Two of my friends got fired over the phone for calling in sick. They have a new hire bonus, but my friends now make more than I do doing the same thing. I need my medications, so it's hard for me to change jobs. My medication is half price with Chewy's insurance. Their insurance is kinda killer, but call them before signing up.
Cons
Before I was totally hired on: Recruiting doesn't like people who are motivated. I went to a hiring event and heard a girl say she didn't hire someone because 'he looked for a job that could offer a promotion along the line.' I acktually saw her flip her hair over her shoulder as she said this. I heard it down the hall at a hiring event. I'm so glad I interviewed with her male coworker cuz I wanted to move up. -MGMT can be really cliquey, choosing favorites and targeting employees they don't like. "Pointing them" until they can be technically fired by their own HR Standards. -This company sells cool stuff at a 20% discount for employees, but you have to ask HR to get you the perk. It's not automatic.

Chewy is not as it appears

The main pro of working at Chewy is you can work from home. The initial customer service was pretty good and complete. Another pro is a good entry into the customer service field
Cons
The cons of working with Chewy is the amount of micromanaging that is done in regard to the amount of work you are doing. It is literally an act of god to use your PTO there is always some reason that you are unable to use it. Also if you have hopes of ever needing to reach out to HR good luck. There are still issues I have sent to HR needing help with and no response. There is also a massive amount of communication breakdown. They also expect you to do multiple jobs yet only get paid for one. After the initial training, any further training is lackluster and pretty incomplete with the mentality of learning on the fly. Another con is do not hope to move up in the company with any speed. They would rather check off the "woke" boxes than consider actual experience.
