Pros

There is hybrid work available

Cons

Understaffed with zero recognition or appreciation from management. Leadership doesn’t care to listen to anyone outside their circle. Promotions are given out based on favoritism and not work ethic. Position vacancies are suddenly deemed “no longer necessary” or replaced with contractors overseas for pennies on the dollar. There is a huge emphasis for a “peoplefirst” culture that is a complete lie. Choice used to embrace its employee culture, but you’re just a number here now.

Pros

hybrid flexible work Good PTO

Cons

Rampant favoritism in my department (and it’s obvious my manager prefers females over males) Too many managers, not enough actual workers My team has worked from behind since I got there. The manager, while good at relating and good at putting out fires, isnt good at creating processes that last. Constantly making changes to processes that could have been implemented better in the first place so they wouldn’t have to be changed. The manager hires friends then promotes them, some of which have no business being promoted. No employee development. No support from managers or encouragement to grow. Senior management wants to grow with less. They will either shut down the fintech side within 1-2 years or they will have some growing pains and emerge as a top bank in the nation for fintechs.
