Pros

* The product is innovative and has a strong technical foundation. * Many individual contributors are talented and want to do good work. * Fully remote setup provides flexibility. * Excellent company offsite locations.

Cons

* No process discipline. Agreed-upon workflows are either ignored or outright resisted, making it impossible to build sustainable systems. * Constant last-minute changes to priorities and deliverables, often framed as “urgent” but rarely truly urgent, which causes unnecessary stress and wasted effort. * Team members regularly bypass formal channels for both large and small asks, which undermines efficiency and version control. * Ineffective review processes. Performance reviews lack metrics, standards, or measurable goals; instead they rely on anonymous quotes from colleagues who may not work closely with you. * Managers lack training in constructive communication and feedback. Team culture would benefit from structured frameworks (e.g., DISC) to improve collaboration and reduce unnecessary friction.

Pros

I've enjoyed my time at ClickHouse because of the people and the flexibility. It's exciting to work for a company that's growing quickly and building a product people genuinely love. The team is full of smart, motivated people, and I've had opportunities to take on projects outside my role that have helped me grow. Being remote-first has been great for work-life balance, and one of my favorite perks is that the company brings everyone together in person twice a year. It's a great way to connect with teammates and feel invested in what we're building together.

Cons

ClickHouse is a fast-growing company, which brings the usual challenges of shifting priorities and occasional periods of increased workload. Collaborating across multiple time zones can sometimes make it harder to fully disconnect, so maintaining work-life balance requires being intentional about boundaries. I'd also love to see the company introduce a 401(k) match in the future.

Pros

- Compensation and equity package offered were great - Fully remote with no location barriers, if you want to Digital nomad, have at it - Two company trips a year to different locations around the globe

Cons

- highly demanding in a non productive way - too many meetings and the most corp. nonsense I've ever encountered: each dept. meeting the shared doc included 9 pictures and everyone had to go around and state which picture most resembled the way they were feeling for the week and why... - poor processes from an operations standpoint, especially the inclusion of Vendr, that were over burdensome with minimal value add. Showed a lack of trust in the workflow approval setups - as others have mentioned highly demanding/poor worklife balance and expectations of being available for longer hours due to global distribution of employees - odd team dynamics made it clear it wasn't a good fit
