Pros

Diabetes and obesity are huge and ever-growing issues in the US and abroad. Helping Close Concerns' mission of making everyone smarter about these conditions is immensely rewarding. From the day you start at Close Concerns, you are entrusted with real and exciting responsibilities and roles. Associates travel frequently to some fantastic locations, and get to learn from the most respected opinion leaders at major medical conferences. Also, San Francisco is a really great city to call home. The company is very focused on the wellness of its associates - gym memberships are covered by the company, and we get great healthy food delivered free to the office. I will come away from my time at Close Concerns with some very valuable skills (project and team management, writing, technology, and public speaking, just to name a few), and with a hugely improved understanding of what a career in medicine involves and requires. I simply cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Close Concerns, and I would recommend the company for anyone interested in medicine, research, or other healthcare field who wants to help patients from day one of their job.

Cons

Close Concerns is really best for driven, self-directed workers, and its important to make sure that you really believe in the company's mission. Also, associates travel frequently - I view this as a huge plus, but I suppose extensive travel may not be for everyone.

Pros

The team at close concerns is incredible. The full-timers are smart, funny, and kind. they will go out of their way to help you. The work can be interesting depending on what team and project you get put on.

Cons

The boss is pretty crazy. A lot of your job is flattering her ego or convincing her that a terrible idea isn't going to work so that you can do what needs to be done on all the other projects she has given you. She is nice but totally unrealistic on expectations.
