Cons

The CEO is an absolute monster, he is bigoted and racist. He takes a $350,000 salary per year, however he will yell at you about a $10 mishap. He has run the business into failure and has wasted millions of dollars in loans. Working here is worse than the Devil Wears Prada. The CEO (Matt Stephenson) will demand that all employees vote for him on certain websites, and forces you take screenshots, proving you voted for him. These websites are polls for influential CEOs and other titles similar to that. Which always blew my mind, because if he were just a little smarter and kinder, people would want to vote for him without being forced to. Do no work here, you will hate it.

Pros

My experience with Code2College was incredibly positive. The program offered a flexible class schedule, allowing students to balance coursework with other activities without feeling overwhelmed. The supportive management and mentors played a key role in my success, regularly checking in to ensure I stayed on track. Also, the variety of coding classes across different fields gave me the opportunity to explore multiple areas of tech such as cybersecurity, or AI, making it a great program for students looking to build their skills in a structured yet accommodating environment.

Cons

Some issues i came across were the class instructors, due to it being mainly online, there were cases were the instructor was a no show, or was having issues, but this wasn't a big issue since code2College always dealt with it via a replacement, and they already have their lesson plans documented for students to follow. Also internships are not guaranteed so students going into Code2COllege have to work for the opportunity and it will not always be guaranteed on the first year of joining

Pros

- Part-time employees get okay hourly pay and hour flexibility. Good for students looking for a side gig. - Most of your coworkers will be amazing.

Cons

- All employees, but full-time especially, are overworked and underpaid. There is no mobility, so if you started part-time, don’t expect conversion, and they would rather hire someone external to fill roles. There is no investment in staff and they are used until they burn out. - Management routinely blocks PTO use for entire quarters and raise or promotion eligibility for entire years company-wide. Raises are rare and rarely large enough to notice. - The CEO doesn’t actually care about the mission and will take actions actively detrimental to the students for no justifiable reason. He micromanages but is never there when you need him and is misogynistic and spiteful towards employees and students. - All negativity in the company comes from the CEO and filters down. It doesn’t have to filter down far since he keeps firing or driving off leadership, leaving the rest of the company overworked and taking on duties far above their job description without any recognition or compensation. - While expecting everyone to be ready at a moment’s notice to hop into another understaffed department, they also restrict what each employee role is allowed to do, banning them from things they really need to get their job done effectively, often resulting in games of telephone seemingly engineered to stop you from building helpful professional connections.
