Pros

1. Startup culture,no dress code. 2. Good learning curve if you are lazy to not learn things by yourself 3. Above average pay for a fresher 4. Holidays on Saturdays and Sundays unlike many startups(though you can be asked to work from home or come to office quite often).

Cons

Well,the list is quite long. 1. CEO is a highly impulsive and money-minded person whose primary concern involves minting money at the stake of good developer’s careers. 2. Unrealistic expectations. Hires inexperienced developers and expects them to code like people with 15+ years of experience. 3. No respect for employees. All are treated like inhuman utilities for which they are getting decent pays. 4. CEO would sell you a C-grade pen saying it is a novel stationery at a lucrative price. (Trust me, he is good at it.) 5. Politics.Talent comes as a second thing.You have to know their regional language.Managers and CEO would “help” you. For other developers, it would be considered as an “obligation” from management’s end. 6. No proper and responsible HR’s. Let alone be the developers, there are no proper HR’s who you can reach up to if you have to raise any concern. No finance department. Extremely poor mismanaged team. 7. No MANAGER ! Beat that now! There are hardly one or two of them who are so busy with the projects and work given to them,that they do not show an inch of management skills ! 8. BLAME GAME This seems to be one of their favourite games.Project not deployed on time?BLAME THE DEVELOPER! 9. NO TIMELINE MANAGEMENT No management of timelines of any project milestones,complete pressure of the project is on the developer from requirement gathering phase till deployment. 10. NO TESTER,NO QUALITY ANALYST Of course the freshers who are just out of college and who have just started working on live projects would know testing and deliver a top notch quality code, isn’t it? Inexperienced Developers are expected to test and deliver codes without any glitches with an unrealistic stipulated time period. 11.NO ETHICS People would judge you for leaving the office early even if you are done with your work.No motivation from the management’s end or no appreciation for really hardworking people.Flatter CEO or management if you want to survive. 12. NO VISION For any startup to thrive,vision matters.The CEO primarily focuses on making money by any means. 13. Zero life- Join only if you do not have a life or do not plan to get one and you are ok with people ill-treating you for no reason.
