Pros

I Love my job - I’ve met wonderfully supportive colleagues and managers. working with clients and seeing them grow is one of the biggest pros of the jobs along with being there for both the highs and lows of someone’s life - it’s a difficult job but extremely rewarding to watch the service users grow. The pay in comparison to my previous jobs is good with sleep in and a relief bonus (as we don’t get holiday)

Cons

Sadly even if you do regular hours as a relief member of staff there is no protection if you are bereaved or sick in addition the role I originally applied for did not have such heavy cleaning tasks put in the job description and sometimes I do feel more like a domestic cleaner than a scheme support worker which sometimes makes me feel like I was misled on applying.
