Pros
Small company with a good environment. I am salaried for 40 hours a week. Usually I can stick to that unless we are behind schedule. So I can't say that I haven't had to put in some long hours in the past. But it's rare. Job pays about the same as similar civil site/land development firms. Company is pretty laid back. If I need to go to the dentist or run an errand during the normal hours I can do so as long as my work is getting done and I get my hours in.
Cons
Insurance is a little expensive but that is more or less everywhere. There are a lot of older engineers here that have a lot of experience but we are a little lacking in younger talent, which may be a problem once our senior employees begin retiring.
