They always say that a leader sets the company culture and this is no exception for Colibri Software. The company founder and owner John Read is one of the kindest and most understanding human beings that I've ever had the pleasure of working with! John is a good human, full stop. I've always felt comfortable to tell him how I feel and ask for what I need. He has been very accommodating and supportive of me as I manage the realities and limitations of my physical and mental health while employed at Colibri. John is an out-of-the-box thinker and I highly recommend Colibri Software to anyone seeking meaningful employment in the Nova Scotia or Atlantic tech sectors. All of my colleagues are also very kind and a pleasure to work with, and John's leadership and hiring criteria in putting together our team has certainly played a big role in the team quality.

There are very few downsides to working at Colibri Software. The nature of the work is very organic and loosely structured and team members are trusted to get their work done with minimal supervision. Because of that, this company is better suited for people who are comfortable with independent work and organizing themselves than those who require a highly structured work environment.
