Pros
Consistent hours Employee stay benefits Fun and Interesting guests
Cons
-Treated like a worthless dog by a coworker and managers in the Night audit department. You are there to do all the tedious, heavy duty tasks that the others feel is below them. Most have been there for 5+ years so all slack gets put on you and have no say or any room for advancement. (If you’re also a POC please look elsewhere. No matter how much they fake smile at you, they don’t see you as a human being due to your melanin) -Very racist coworkers/managers in this department. HR is a joke and will see you as the problem if you bring up the discrimination (go figure, it’s a on a plantation) -You’re constantly micromanaged by NA and the Inn’s upper management. -Catty female co workers whose nose is so far up managements behind, you can smell the feces when they walk by. One loathes minorities and likes to control/ dictate what others do because they’re on a power trip. This particular individual will 100% be making complaints to HR about you before training even begins -The workload is WAY more than they initially let on. The manager can barely walk so you WILL be her errand boy/girl. If you work during the busy season(every month except Jan and Feb) it becomes 10x worse since all guest requests have to be fulfilled by ONLY YOU since no other staff is there. Oh and don’t you dare ask for a lunch break because you don’t get one :) -No work life balance. If you have kids they will trash talk you for having to care for your children. -They do not offer part-time or temp. But they will make sure to keep THEIR job secure by making your work life so dreadfully impossible that you just quit and they can keep climbing the ladder. They know exactly what they’re doing.
