Pros

Impact is clear Committed to equity Growing team Lots of great ideas Loved the senior leadership working group - solid group of thought partners and collaborators Competitive compensation for organization of its size Access to senior leaders

Cons

C-level leadership can, at times, be a log-jam for middle managers Not a lot of room for professional growth once you hit middle management When hard decisions need to be made, C-level seems reticent to make them

Pros

This organization is making strides to end colorectal cancer in our lifetime. There is a clear hierarchy and department split to get things accomplished. They are willing to train new employees and offer opportunities for growth and expanding knowledge having to do with research, health equity, and community engagement.

Cons

Not all departments work together often and there can be times when it is difficult to know who has useful input on another's work.

Pros

There is no better feeling that waking up with the charge to save lives and impact our world. The Alliance is full of dedicated professionals that are passionate about their work and our mission. Have there been growing pains - of course! We are growing at an incredible rate and making huge strides in our mission - that rapid growth causes need for adjustments. Our executive is available and listens to concerns and then creates plans to fix them. The organization includes input from all levels. It is a dream to work here. -Great location and hours -Team environment with friendly coworkers that truly care about your well-being -Generous leave policy - start with 10 sick days and either 13, 18 or 23 vacation days a year depending on level. -Ferderal Holidays -Week between Christmas and New Years off and paid -Summer Friday’s - end work at 2pm -Awesome health insurance -Retirement contributions - Casual dress unless meeting with patients or donors

Cons

You will get pulled into the mission. It is hard not to become committed and you want to do more and more to end the disease. I have a hard time remembering it is work and that I need to take time off to recharge. I love what I do and who I work with so it can be challenge to maintain a balance because it doesn’t feel like work.
