Thank you for providing feedback on Commerce Architects. We are concerned that you experienced a situation where a partner talked down to you or someone else in Slack. This is unacceptable. We would love an opportunity to learn from these experiences and grow as a leadership group. We encourage and welcome any and all feedback, so if you are comfortable, please reach out to the partner directly, your manager, or HR, and we will take steps to ensure this behavior does not continue.

Pros

We make a big effort to build and maintain company culture. We do happy hours twice a month, a mix of virtual and in-person. We have large parties twice a year, in summer and winter. During Covid, we did virtual escape rooms, murder mysteries, origami folding, de-mystifying houseplants, herb growing, painting, and more. The software projects are large and complex, with opportunities to work on very large-scale transactional web applications. We put a big focus on career growth and skills development with 3-year career planning, technical mentoring and quarterly goal setting. We are proud to have been selected for the Best Places to Work in the Inland Northwest in 2021. We have a very comfortable office with sit/stand desks for all, ergonomic chairs, keyboard/mouse of your choice, etc. However, employees can choose to work at home as well. Employees enjoy a flexible time-off policy which means no need to accrue hours or worry about how not having enough time accrued to tack on an extra vacation day. Our profit sharing programs, both for quarterly bonus and 401k contributions mean employees regularly get 10+% additional compensation above the already competitive salaries.

Cons

This is a consulting organization, so there are client demands, and it is a service-oriented job. This means hours and workload are sometimes defined by client needs.
