Mental Health is a field that you either love or hate. A community mental health center is often the place where new clinicians are hired and often those same newer clinicians use the agency as a learning environment and move on to other facilities as they feel caregiver strain and burnout or decide to pursue advanced educational degrees that lead them away from the catchment area. This combination of possibilities often leads to higher turnover rates among CMHCs and does not benefit clients.
