Pros
Work life balance is fine
Cons
Over time, many of the benefits that initially made the company attractive have been reduced or removed. When I joined, we had flexible PTO, which has since transitioned to a more limited structure. Healthcare benefits have also changed significantly—from employer-paid coverage to expensive plans with reduced value. Additionally, employees previously received complimentary pet insurance and wellness coverage for their pets, which has also been eliminated. At the same time, there have not been merit increases to offset these changes.
These cumulative changes have had a noticeable impact on employee morale and overall satisfaction.
Communication from the People Team has also been challenging. Policies and information are sometimes communicated one way and then later changed without clear updates or explanations. When employees ask for clarification, responses are often delayed or not provided, which creates confusion and frustration.
Improving transparency and consistency in communication, as well as providing clearer explanations for benefit changes, would help rebuild trust and improve the employee experience.
