Pros

Pay (for now), they generally leave me alone in my classroom and let me run it the way I see fit.

Cons

They are disorganized at the central office and management levels. They do sneaky things and cover stuff up all the time to leverage more money for the schools and bend behavior rules to make them fit what they want to do, not trying to follow the law.

Pros

It’s a good opportunity for an individual that’s looking to have the perfect schedule if the have kids. Day-to-day duties change, perfect for someone who likes to roll with the punches. If you’re studying to be a teacher, good step in the right direction. You’re on campus even if there isn’t need for a sub, so you’re assisting in other areas but have consistent income. There’s room for growth if you’re willing to be a team player and take on responsibilities that are not your own. You have summers off!

Cons

Sometimes you don’t know until last minute if you’re in a classroom that day or not. Yes it’s about $18/hr but after they stretch out your pay to cover your summer months it’s about $15ish an hr.
