Pros

* I get to work with motivated technology specialists that want to solve problems and make clients work more efficiently, assist in profitability, recommend technology that will benefit them, and at the end of the day continue to be happy with our services. * I get to solve complex problems with little to no micro-management -- and have tools and resources to reach out to if I am stuck or need further assistance * I get to work from home when necessary and taking time off usually is not a problem on short notice (for those life emergency's that can occur) * I get to travel around the Albany area and interact with our clients -- I'm never forcibly stuck behind a desk in a chair. * I get to recommend / approach management with new tools / ideas / concepts and have never been ignored or not listened to. Although some of my ideas never come to fruition, I've been heard out and been communicated with all the way through the process. * I have immediate access to others on my team via phone / email / text messaging. I've never felt ignored or pushed aside. * I was provided a new laptop for my job role and everyone receives a monthly reimbursement (60$) for a cell phone usage due to being in a on-call rotation.

Cons

* Benefits package is on par for a smaller/medium company; however I feel as though they could be slightly improved or more options could be given that benefits the employee. (ex: higher coverage / PPO plan / more days off per year / separate sick vs personal days / ability to rollover ALL of the unused time instead of being forced to use X amount and only roll over up to Y ) * Having a smaller work environment without a personal office & door - Sometimes I need to finish something and I get the drive-by's / "Hey, got a minute" / " Hey, I need some help with this " / "While you're here.." -- It's hard to say no, but I end up getting sidetracked and then feeling even more behind due to this. Just adds to the job stress level. * I truly wish management would consider allowing permanent work from home status for staff members that have shown the ability to excel or exceed expectations of in office productivity.

Pros

Company actually cares about you They hire people that actually care and are qualified, while also taking chances on motivated people like they did with me

Cons

Only thing I can think of is potentially pay if you start out as a tier 1 with not much experience

Pros

Flexable scheduling Open Door Policy for Management/Upper Management Direct 1:1 with manager weekly to address concerns / issues / help Access to "fun" things and experience while working with so many various client environments.

Cons

Fast pace environment that doesn't wait - You're expected to keep up Task Switching - as with any msp, priorities often change and you can be working on a issue and be pulled off 5 minutes later for a fire. Stress - not unusual but worth mentioning, with the fast pace, comes additional stress for deadlines. If you can't manage stress well it may be difficult at rare times when a fire is happening.
