Pros

Every day is different. If you want to do something new every day then this is a great place to work. Everyone is highly functioning, and intelligent. It is a very supportive group. I am surrounded by people that challenge me to constantly improve and learn. I look forward to see what each day is going to bring. The work is challenging, rewarding and I really enjoy the people I work with. The sky is the limit as far as professional development. If you want to build your skills or pursue specific areas and it makes business sense to do so, then you have the freedom to do it. The more you are able to bill for higher-end work, the more you are rewarded.

Cons

This is a customer service business in the IT industry. You are going to have challenging clients sometimes, and emotions can run high when their systems aren't working. Also, this environment requires you to be a self-starter. If you are waiting for someone else to lead the charge then you are in the wrong place. No one will spoon-feed you here. There are times when it is very busy and other times when business is slow. If you only do 1 thing then there may be times when you are looking for something to work on. If you are able to take on assorted types of work then it seems there is always something to do. Lastly, this is a small company, so most employees wear several hats. Can be stressful, but also rewarding to be an important part of something.

Pros

Compuvision has helped me build my career. I've been here a long time because its a great place to work. I am part of a team that helps each other get things done and make a difference. It is a smaller company, so I'm not just a number, I'm a person. This is a great environment for self-starters, people with initiative and an entrepreneurial outlook. I'm a figure-outer. I enjoy new challenges, and like to learn new things each day. It would be boring if I had to do the same thing all day every day. Compensation is good, and is affected by how much you bill. The more billable work I do, or the higher billable rate I work at, the more I can make. It's an incentive to continue to increase my education and skills. There are many opportunities to increase my education, experience and skills, with help from the company. Management is supportive and will work with me if I have personal or family issues come up that I need to handle.

Cons

The work is often hard, and sometimes things need to get done that you may not want to do. I guess that's why its called work and not something else. If you are looking to have someone else figure it out for you, or work on autopilot, or put your feet up and have others carry you, or 'baby bird' your career to you this is not good fit. This is a smaller company. Staffing is slim, so when someone is out we feel it. Compensation is good, but is affected by how much you bill. If you are looking for a flat wage or salary this is not the right place.
