Pros

None. Basically all the people working there are looking for new jobs. I doubt the company will be around much longer.

Cons

- Delayed/bounced checks - Rude and aggressive CEO - Dishonest to both clients and employees - High turnover - Cheap (low pay, old technology, understaffed, etc.) - Micromanaged and stressful work environment

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your time at Computer Market Research didn’t meet your expectations, and we wish you the best of luck in finding a role that aligns well with your skills and career goals. We do want to clarify a key point for accuracy. Since opening our doors in 1984, we’ve operated successfully in both California and Nevada and have never experienced issues with delayed or bounced checks. As a boutique software company serving a niche group of high-volume clients — many of whom have partnered with us for over 15 years — we’ve built a stable, longstanding business focused on delivering exceptional service. Culture fit is incredibly important to us. It’s clear that in this case, the role and environment were not the right match, which can happen from time to time. While we understand that not every position will be ideal for every individual, we remain committed to creating a supportive, growth-oriented workplace for employees who thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused setting. We appreciate the contributions you made during your time with us and continue to be proud of the team members who share in our mission and values.

Pros

Flexible Schedule, Interesting Work, Lots of Perks - Del is a great guy and treats his teams like family.

Cons

This job is not for everyone. You perform and produce, or you move along and find something else. This is a high value boutique software firm - it's easy to think there's not a lot going on here - but there actually is. It's easy to look at the relatively chill Las Vegas office and think it's a chill, boring place... but that's not the case... you have to have your finger on the pulse of what's happening not only here, but also in San Diego, There's a lot happening behind the scenes. You have to be smart enough to figure that out. It's B2B so if you don't have that experience you have to learn quick. You've got to be accountable for your own success. Nobody is going to hold your hand while you figure it out - just figure it out. If you don't have a good level of self direction and accountability, this is not the place for you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations and wish you the best of luck in finding a role that aligns well with your skills and career goals. At Computer Market Research, we’ve been proudly serving a niche group of high-volume clients since 1984, with many client relationships lasting over 15 years. As a boutique software company, we hold our team to a high standard so we can deliver the level of service our clients expect. Our Las Vegas corporate office is smaller and focused on strategy and client success, which can sometimes feel separate from the day-to-day operations of our product and development teams. That’s why staying connected and engaged across the business is so important. We also strive to provide a quiet, collaborative environment with perks like free parking and a close-knit, family-like culture for those who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
