Pros

- Getting to work on a ton of different types of equipment - Gain a lot of experience in a short time - Free Friday lunches if you maintain high review scores - Most employees are easy to work with - The owners will do everything they can to make sure the company is profitable.

Cons

- High turnover rate because of dissatisfied Engineers. - Very stressful environment and overworked - On-Call rotation schedule constantly changing. Went from once every 8 weeks to once a month. - Documentation for clients is lacking and some companies do not have any information. You are basically blind when troubleshoot some issues. - They take away incentives (Used to be able to get a overtime but they took it away) - You HAVE to work a minimum of 45 hours a week. It averages 50 hrs/wk and you will NOT get paid for over time so do the minimum. - If you want a day off, even if you are over 45 hours on your time sheet for the week, you will still need to give up 8 hours of PTO. Didn't make sense to me either. - Bonuses are not attainable because of how they have things setup. They have a 10 page document describing how they screw you out of a bonus. Bonuses are based on: =Your salary ( Example: If you make 36,000 per yr thats 3,000 a month. They want you to bill companies at least 3 times your monthly salary. So 9,000 dollars a month minimum. = They will pay you 15% of all billing over over that 9,000 min. So you bill 10,000 a month, that's $1000 more than the min. ($1000 X .15 = $150 total bonus). = They factor in a few more things to make sure your bonus is as little as possible. Make sure you read the bonus document because they also factor in client reviews. If you average 90% for reviews then you have to multiply the review score to your bonus (Example: 150 X 0.9 = $135 total bonus) = WAIT! there is more. If you submit your time sheet late, you will NOT get a bonus. If the TEAM loses a client, YOU will not get a bonus. Management can adjust bonuses based on what they feel you should get, if anything. In conclusion it really doesn't matter how hard you work at the company. You will probably not get a bonus because of how unattainable the system is or because a team member lost a client.

Computer St. Louis Response

Thank you for your response and I’m sorry that you felt overwhelmed and stressed in your position. I agree with the statement that we give our employees the opportunity to “work on a ton of different types of equipment” and “gain a lot of experience in a short time”, however this broad scope can make the job fast-paced and can be stressful to some. We are constantly trying to improve our client and staff experiences and do make changes to our internal processes on occasion to find the best solution for everyone. Our current on-call rotation is structured so no-one is on-call more than they would like and employees are rewarded for their on-call service. We have a number of different ways that our employees can qualify for bonuses – and have employees that regularly receive them, however they are designed as a merit-based reward for going above and beyond the base expectations for the job – so they do require a little more work. Thank you again for your response, we continue to be a rapidly growing company that is adding new positions and clients all the time and feedback like yours helps us evaluate what we can do to provide top-tier support to our clients and a top-tier workplace for our employees.
