Pros

The starting pay is amazing for the work you'll be doing at first. And the gig-based work allows you to fit it completely around your schedule. If this is your first entrance into AV Production, then you'll find a lot of people in similar positions. There are opportunities to expand your knowledge into diverse specifications. Most people care greatly about your safety and health, and you have adequate breaks. Gigs will take you all around Nashville, giving you a chance to network not only with your coworkers and other companies hired for those gigs, but also with the clients themselves. The company also has a union.

Cons

There is quite a bit of driving, and if you don't live in Nashville and aren't used to that environment, it can be stressful getting to and from your job. Finding a parking place is an added stress to this situation, as you will not always be provided a space by the company or the client. Not every person you meet in the company may be agreeable or willing to teach you. And you will constantly be learning about new tech and tools for your first year. You may feel rushed to get things done, even if you don't know if you're doing it properly. Other times there's absolutely nothing for you to do, which may be unacceptable to some people. If you aren't part of the union, you may find gigs far and few between. You could go months without a gig if you just take what's given.
