Constant short-staffing Ignoring acuity (staffing by census only) Pulling nurses/aides to other divisions High censuses Redundant, constantly changing paperwork Lax correctional officers (COs) Exhausted COs forced to work 16 hours Sexual harassment by patients CCDOC brass doesn't care CCDOC nursing administration doesn't care Revolving door of mid-level nursing management Incompetent nursing administration Concentration of power among only a couple incompetent nursing admins Old/broken computers/equipment Running out of supplies Staffing is done shift by shift, no one looks or plans days, weeks, months ahead Nursing supervisors w/anger management problems Constant violations of union contracts
