Former employee who thinks this job is "ok" - Deputy Sheriff/Correctional Officer Cook County Sheriff Employee Review

Morale is extremely low. You begin working at the jail before transferring to Courts or Police. Supervisors at the jail are incompetent. The jail is dirty and the conditions of the job are not OSHA compliment. Management does not care much for the health or well being of the employee. You are replaceable! Not to mention that management and supervisors have no more than a high school education and some are related to inmates.
