Pros

Employees care deeply about one another, are hard working and trustworthy, will drop everything to help each other, care about the environment and DEI initiatives, care about clients, and making a great product.

Cons

While there have been growing pains associated with the IFS acquisition, most issues are manageable and just part of being a larger organization. The one glaring issue that is impossible to get past is the complete erosion of the previous culture of empathy and transparency by the leadership placed in charge of Copperleaf. Current Copperleaf leadership is extremely toxic, secretive, lacks empathy, ignores problems even when presented with data, pushes out good leaders in favor of hiring people who will enable their behaviour. They are THE driving cause behind rapidly rising turnover and refuse to acknowledge any feedback they've been given. Have told everyone to leave if they don't like it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. At Copperleaf, we understand that navigating change—especially the transition from a smaller, more familiar organization into a fast-paced, high-growth global division—can be challenging. As of July 2025, we are growing faster than at any point in our history, and that growth brings both opportunity and intensity. We’ve heard concerns about transparency and culture, and we want to acknowledge them thoughtfully. In a high-growth environment, decisions often need to be made quickly to seize opportunities and maintain momentum. While this can sometimes feel abrupt, it does not reflect a lack of transparency or intent to exclude. Our goal is always to act decisively while staying aligned to our values of openness, collaboration, and integrity. We also take culture seriously. We’re proud of the diverse, passionate, and driven teams that make up Copperleaf, and we’re committed to creating an environment where people feel supported and challenged in equal measure. That said, we also recognize that the pace and style of a high-growth tech environment may not be for everyone—and that’s completely okay. Careers can thrive in many types of organizations. We’re grateful to everyone—past and present—who has contributed to Copperleaf’s journey. To those continuing with us, thank you for your energy and commitment. To those taking a different path, we wish you every success in what comes next.
