Pros
Well respected in certain segments of the industry, ultra casual working environment, friendly staff (on the surface).
Cons
Owned and managed by a family, that seems to promote, almost exclusively, within the family. All family members or spouses have a "title" at this company, be it President/CEO, EVP, VP, Director, etc. All management, with very limited exception, are family members (whether you have relevant healthcare experience or not). Consistently on the "Best Places to Work in Pittsburgh List"....well, of course there's an inferred expectation of how you WILL fill out your survey...wink wink, nudge nudge. Resigning from this company is viewed as a personal affront, and few get to leave gracefully. Employees not drinking the Kool-Aid from the family punchbowl are blatantly harassed and sometimes even openly mocked. Onboarding is an excruciatingly long process for the sake of finding the "right fit", and if you pass the muster, it is followed by a disappointingly below industry median offer. The trade off is promoted as "but still, it's such a great place to work, it makes up for the salary..." Well, yes, if you're a family member or a spouse. If not, and you're not a consultant, steer clear.
