Pros

school has a capable principal who really possesses the expertise and knows profoundly about what true education is; a progressive school truly does care about educating the whole child and has been constantly bringing the better and best possible teaching practice to its students, so you would experience a lot of professional growth as a teacher especially as a novice teacher; teachers are given freedom and trust to try innovative curriculum, creative ideas are encouraged and executed (so feel free to bring them up); the school culture embraces diversity of point of view, and recognizes efforts; most colleagues are fun to work with, some of them are amazingly knowledgeable and talented that you can learn from; competitive salaries comparing to other similar type of schools.

Cons

not a typical cons, but Chinese New Year's performance is a big deal here, so the preparation work during that period of time can be challenging; yet if performing arts is your thing, then you've got your place to shine!

Pros

Great teaching and learning environment for new teachers. A lot of school events and team building activities. Good working environment and students' families. It has many different levels and ages of students, so it is a good place for a teacher's personal development.

Cons

High standard for teachers. a lot of extra work if you want to be a lead teacher and get higher salary. Part time teachers have less benefit than full time teachers.
