Pros

I think given the previous reviews (written at a time of change in the company when employees who weren't pulling their full weight were let go) speak to both a pro & con of working at a Christian TV network--there is a constant friction between "we are a family and love God as a ministry" and "this is a operating TV network that HAS to work efficiently to stay on the air." In that light, many employees are very kind and personable, but this is also a crazy busy, often stressful industry. If you are creative, forward thinking, and adaptable, you will love working at CTVN.

Cons

Unfortunately, because it's a small network, you wear a lot of hats & the work load is often very busy. There are really no down seasons. Also, some of the corporate policies are hard to navigate because they seem to change often (such as comp time, vacation time, etc.)

Pros

Evangelistic Christian Outreach TV Ministry. Originated many new and innovative programs. Supported many Mission and Humanitarian and Rescue efforts, orphanages, Foreign missions TV, etc. Strong Family feeling among staff- 85 year old Founder is "everybody"s Mom!" Even former employeees share family feeling, dismissed employees treated well in severance and assistance.

Cons

New President/CEO (Since 2013) has dismantled and cancelled previous programs, sets, goals. Reorganization terminated 11 employees, seven over 65, five over 30 years service - no allowance for Sick time, two weeks health Insurance, No Severance or job assistance offered. Three of five Afro-Americans terminated. Financial stress due to extravagant new programs and outside Consultants and expenses.
