amazing place. best boss ever.

Literally perfect place to work.

Jerrick Media presents itself as a cool place to work. That is certainly true of the people there at the time of my employment. There was no one there that I did not like aside from the CEO and even he – from time to time – was enjoyable to be around. The idea of the company is cool and the space was hip. I certainly learned a lot. The same way one may have learned a lot being the assistant to Joseph Goebbels, though.

Everyone who worked at Jerrick Media at the time of my employment was a cog in the CEO's money-making machine (except he didn't make any money). Full salaries and benefits were promised to employees working 40+ hours per week for months as independent contractors only to see missed pay days and be eventually fired. One missed pay day he bought Chinese food for lunch to make up for not paying everyone their due wages that day. On top of that, the CEO micromanaged every part of the creative process, openly stating that he was better suited to think through each individual part of content creation and distribution. He certainly had a knack for it all, but maybe that is because he was a money-hungry, former Wall Streeter with little else to do but study how to get rich quick off of digital media and provide nothing of value to our users.
